The Middlebury Breakfast Optimist Club meets Friday mornings at the Das Dutchman Essenhaus at 6:30 am.
What goes on at an Optimist meeting?
We enjoy a special breakfast menu provided by the Essenhaus just for the Optimist Club. Our meetings are opened with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. We share announcements, fellowship and humor while waiting for the food to be prepared. After our meal, we are all given an opportunity to share with the club a special optimistic event from our week. The main event of the morning is a program provided by a guest speaker who shares about local events and topics. We honor outstanding youth in our community at many of the morning meetings. We close the meetings with reciting the Optimist Creed.
The Middlebury Breakfast Optimist Club goal is to support the youth in our community. We support the youth by raising funds and giving back. Our fundraisers help to support and benefit Northridge Dollars for Scholars, the Boys and Girls Club of Middlebury, and many other youth programs in the Middlebury Community.
